Formel will nicht hinhauen

Was mache ich falsch:

Ich erhalte die Fehlermeldung:

Habe schon x { bzw } geändert aber hilft iwie alles nicht, hat jemand den Durchblick?

Da waren die Klammern falsch gesetzt.
Hinter dot{m} fehlte eine, dafür war am Ende eine zuviel.

Bitte gewöhne Dir an, Minimalbeispiele (http://www.minimalbeispiel.de/mini.html) zu posten, das macht das Testen einfacher.

Du musst auch amsmath laden:
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{amsmath}

\begin{document}

\begin{equation}\label{}

\end{document}In der zweiten Zeile habe noch ein paar Klammern korrigiert/entfernt. Für die bezeichnenden Indices bietet sich außerdem das \text-Kommando an (auch aus amsmath).

EDIT: Mist, 'ne Sekunde zu langsam getippt. ;)
