pgfplots: Warum wird die Option ymax nicht angenommen?

Das rechte Diagramm soll leer bleiben. Wie kann man ymax vorgeben? ymax soll z. B. "5" sein.

Es soll leer sein! Ausgedruckt auf Papier soll da was hinein gezeichnet werde. Gern möchte ich die Achsenbeschriftung vorgeben...
